Made up by two magnificent and strong buildings in pure Neo-classical Sicilian style, situated in an enviable strategic position on the great harbour, the Hotel des Etrangers and the Miramare directly look over the Passeggio Adorno and sideways on the great belvedere and the Fonte Aretusa.
The Hotel is made up of five floors and is situated close to the nearby piazza Duomo irregularly shaped, in line with the old plan of the medieval town.

The external decorations of the building is characterised by horizontal courses, the balconies are refined by stone column and wrought iron railings, the large door of the building on the ground floor splits it in the middle, with four windows on one side and four on the other.
